What Bagged does

You photograph a shopping receipt. Bagged reads the lines, works out roughly how processed each item is, and shows you what share of your food and drink spend was ultra-processed, plus where the money went.

It will sometimes be wrong

The classification is inferred from the product name printed on a receipt. A receipt does not list ingredients, so some items are a genuine judgement call and some will be classified incorrectly. Prices can be misread, particularly on faded or crumpled paper.

Treat the figures as a description of your shop, not as a measurement. Do not rely on them for anything that matters medically or financially.

Not advice

Bagged is not medical, nutritional, dietary or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for any of them. If you have a health condition, a dietary requirement, or you are making decisions about what to feed a child, speak to a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

Your account and your data

You are responsible for keeping access to your email or Apple account secure, since that is how your history is reached.

You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time. What is collected and why is set out on the privacy page.

Do not upload anything that is not your own receipt.

Retailers and brands

Shop names and product names appear because they are printed on your receipt. Bagged is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any retailer or brand it names, and naming a product is a description of what you bought rather than a comment on the company that makes it.

Availability

This is early software. Features will change, and parts of it may be unavailable while things are fixed. Where a change would lose data or cost money, you will be told before it happens.

Liability

Dupi Technology Ltd provides Bagged as it is. Nothing here limits any right you have under UK consumer law, and nothing limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, we are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of a figure the app produced.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
